I put my heart and soul into everything I do.
I will never stop being curious and appreciating the world we live in.
My name is Martina Akrenius, lovely to e-meet you!
I am a 36-year-old Finn and I would describe myself as a creative, soulful, positive, passionate storyteller and bookworm. The world never ceases to amaze me, and I crave new information like a sponge.
By profession I am a Mindfulness Teacher, Journalist and Digital Communications Expert. I reside at the moment in my home country Finland but I've lived previously in the UK and Spain.
I started to create content for various companies as my main profession back in 2017, when I moved abroad. I held numerous different job titles previously in communications and in the fashion industry. Writing a blog for couple of years reminded me of how much I enjoy writing and that got my pen going! I have loved books, writing and stories ever since I was a child.
I’m keen on writing articles on any topic but I am especially fond of areas that deal with well-being, motivation, performance and how to lead a happy and successful life. I write about these topics regularly to a Finnish online publication SalkunRakentaja.
My previous employer humorously described me as an employee as a “Swiss knife”: a precise and sharp multitalent.
I found mindfulness back in 2011 and it quickly became a grounding a force in my life. My interest in health and well-being has grown over the years and in 2017 I decided to take a leap and study to become a Mindfulness Teacher. This road has been life-changing. Choosing to find more lightness, compassion and groundedness in my life has brought me immense joy, which I hope to share with my students.
I'm in the middle of writing an inspirational memoir on how mindfulness changed me from a boozy-suicidal-shopaholic-fashionista to a soulful Mindfulness Teacher.
